I designed a cover for The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller, aiming for a simple yet striking and abstract look that reflects the book’s poetic voice and its blend of softness and emotional weight. The story’s mix of modern and classical language inspired me to create a design that feels both timeless and contemporary. I included symbols such as figs, spears, and the lyre to represent the complex themes of youthful love, war, and violence. For the colour palette, I chose a limited range, using shades of blue. I also created a custom title font in Adobe Illustrator to give the cover a unique and cohesive feel.
